 Informal
and non-formal education play a vital role
in development of personality. Through such
a programme 'Kali Umaltana' we have imparted
family life education to more than 50,000
adolescent girls from different districts
of Maharashtra. Vocational guidance, self-defense
training, awareness regarding child sexual
abuse are also included in Jagruti-Kishori
Vikas Prakalp. At some places financial assistance
is given to girl students under 'Adopt a girl
student scheme' (Dattak-Palak Yojana). Workshops
on gender sensitization, Govt. schemes, water
management etc. are also organized for women. |
