“Sixteen Days of Awakening Drive for Safety of Women”

BSSJ Pune had organized a sixteen days awakening drive on presently relevant, important issue of women’s safety from 25th Nov. 2015 (White Ribbon Day & International Day for Elimination of Violence against women) to 10th Dec. 2015 (Human Right Day)
‘Maharashtra Times’ – a leading news paper in Maharashtra was ‘Media Partner’ of this campaign.
Objectives –
- To make an appeal to men to take initiative for women’s safety and to protect their dignity.
- To give some tips to women & girls regarding precautions to be taken, presence of mind to be used for their own safety
- To create awareness amongst women regarding laws related to atrocities and procedure of Police Complaint.
- To impart self defence techniques to girls.
- To put forward demands for action to be initiated by Pune Police for women’s safety.
