3rd January: KrantiJyoti Dnyanjyoti Savitri bai Phule Jayanti- Savitribai and her husband Mahatma Jyotiba Phule founded first girls’ school in Pune, Maharashtra. In memory of Savitribai Phule, all branches of BSS in India organised programs for rural and urban women on Digital Literacy, Legal literacy, Environmental Literacy, Financial literacy etc.
